Paul D. Bullock

Paul D Bullock, 96, of Monroeville, PA passed on Monday January 19, 2026 peacefully surrounded by family at his home. Paul was born September 18, 1929 in Waterloo, NY. He was the youngest child of the late Homer Bullock and Mary Rector Bullock. He is pre-deceased by siblings Phillip Bullock, Ruth Bullock Vandenberg, Robert Bullock and Calvin Bullock. Paul was a graduate of Albany State Teachers College, served in the US Army for 2 years, and also received a Masters Degree in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Michigan in 1955. He was married to his late wife Anne Ashman Bullock from 1957 until her death in 2012. Paul worked at the US Steel Research Center in Monroeville for 28 years including some time as the Chief of the Mathematics Division. Paul is survived by children Ellen Bullock of Monroeville,PA, son David Bullock (Jennifer) of Missoula , MT, and Mary Bullock of Monroeville, PA; five grandchildren, Amber Solomon of Penn Hills, PA, Neil Solomon (Taylor) of Bloomfield, NJ, Mark Solomon (Nicole) of Pasadena, CA, Alexander Bullock of Prague, Czechia, and Findley Bullock of Missoula , MT as well as and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, Leona and Malcolm Solomon of Bloomfield,NJ and Wesley Solomon of Pasadena, CA. Paul was an avid golfer well into his 90s. Even when he was no longer able to golf, he enjoyed taking rides to visit golf courses with his granddaughter and his aide, Barb. He spent many hours researching and documenting Bullock family history and genealogy, including digitizing several generations of family photos. Paul spent 10 years of his retirement living in Penn Yan, NY where he was involved in the Yates County Historical Society, including serving on the board of directors. Paul remained a die-hard Steeler fan and could frequently be seen wearing his Steeler hat. Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). Service and interment are private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to the Yates County Historical Society (www.yatespast.org).
