William R Dillon Jr., of Monroeville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday April 7, 2022. Born in 1960, Heidleberg Germany, experienced a fulfilled life. William loved good food and cooking on the grill with his family and friends’s. His greatest love was his music and being the best drummer. William was preceded in death by his father, William R. Dillon Sr. from Texas; grandmother, Birdie Mae Lodkey Cooper; aunts, Marilyn Wood Baldwin, and Barbara Freeman; uncle, Charles S. Lodkey; and nephew, Ryan M. Dillon. William is survived by hs mother, Vera Perry Burkes (David); brothers, Ronald F. Dillon (Jeanine), and Paul S. Dillon; sister, Kim L. Dillon; aunts, Eva (Clarence) Williams of Colorado, Bhavananda (Janjaap) Lodkey Dekker of California, Doris Eleanor Lodkey; uncle, Joseph Lodkey; nephews, Ronald F. Dillon Jr., Nathaniel R. Dillon; nieces, Janaya Spencer, Lanai Spencer; and many cousins and friends. William graduated from Gateway High School and then went on to tour with Young American Showcase from Florida. He returned from tour and went to Atlanta Music Business institute where he received an associates degree in music. He used that to run the video controls in his employment, did an internship at DiCesare Engler productions. His next accomplishment was receiving his associates degree in paralegal. He played drums with many bands in the Pittsburgh area. Visitation will be Thursday April 14, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday April 16, 2022, at Garden City United Methodist Church, 500 Laurel Dr. Monroeville, PA. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). The interment will be private. Thank you to all for your support, thoughts, and prayers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Garden City United Methodist Church in William’s name.
