Sandra K. (Boring) Furl

Sandra K. (Boring) Furl, age 58, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully surrounded by family on March 24 ,2022 after a long and courageous battle with many health conditions. Fortunately, Sandy was able to fulfill her wish of giving the gift of life to someone by being an organ donor. Sandy was born on June 18, 1963, and raised in Monroeville, PA. Sandy was first and foremost a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, crossword puzzles and fire department functions. Sandy was a fun, loving and selfless person. She was best described as a mom to everyone and was always there when needed. Sandy is survived by her mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Ronald Patton; her husband, Michael P. Furl; her children, John L. Williams Jr., Krysta N. Rupert (Aaron), Melissa K. Lauffer (John); grandsons, Grayson A. Rupert and Ezra J. Lauffer; stepchildren, Shawnie L. Hilty-Smith (Kenny), Mackenzie Furl, Montgomery Furl; her brother, Richard L Boring Jr. (Peggy); and many nieces, nephews and aunts. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard L. Boring Sr. as well as her grandparents and several of her aunts and uncles. In lieu of a funeral service and to honor Sandy’s wishes a celebration of life was held on Saturday March 26, 2022.
