Marilyn Komp Henderson Of Irwin, PA., passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016, due to complications from leukemia. A beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Marilyn was born on May 31, 1960 to the late Ed and Inez Komp. She graduated from St. Bernadette's grade school and Gateway High of Monroeville, earned a BS in rehabilitation education at Penn State and also her RN, worked at Health South most recently at Humana health care. She leaves her husband of 26 years Thomas; her children Kayla, Corey and Christopher; sisters Ellen Komp and Dianne Baker; nephews Kevin Komp, Colin Baker, and Andrew Henderson; niece Carisa Curtis and grandnephew Declan Curtis; best friends Carole Ann Boyer and Michelle Cummins; her parents-in-law Thomas Henderson Sr. and Rose of Mt. Pleasant and Cheryl Henderson of Ft. Meyers, Florida; and many more family members and friends. Marilyn was an exceptionally kind, loving and giving person, and all will miss her warmth, her humor and her smiles and laughter. She was most proud of her children and their accomplishments. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. on Monday at the GENE H. CORL INC. FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Bernadette Church. Interment will be private.
