Formerly of Monroeville, on Monday, September 13, 2021. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 92. The child of immigrants, she survived all of the turmoil and change of the past century, to raise five happy and successful children, four of whom survive her: Rosemary Boyce (Keith), Anne Jordan (Greg), Maria Baldwin (Ken) and Theresa Colecchia (Christian Lebiere). She was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank and her ray of sunshine, Frankie. Eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, also survive her, all of whom will miss her love, her supportive but pointed advice, and her phenomenal cooking. Mary worked briefly for Alcoa as a comptometrist, performing mathematical calculations, before her first child was born. She dedicated herself to her family and to volunteering, for Girl Scouts, Catholic Daughters, International Women, Camp Chip Pee Wee and many other organizations that supported the mentally disabled. She was also the friend who was first to bring food when you were sick, to bake for the school bake sale or to bring cookies for your cookie table or at Christmas. Friends will be received from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the GENE H. CORL, INC. FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish at St. Bernadette Church, Monroeville. Everyone should please meet at the Church on Friday. The family requests that all attending visitation and the funeral mass wear facial masks. In lieu of flowers, the family request that gifts may be directed in Mary’s memory to Verland Foundation, 212 Iris Drive , Sewickley, PA 15143, to the Salvation Army, or to a charity of your choice. www.corlfuneralchapel.com.
