John A. "Jack" Valentine Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John Augustus Valentine, 95, passed away at his home in Cranberry Twp., PA. on Tuesday, May 25, 2022. Jack was born on November 8, 1926, to John Charles Valentine and Olga Kay (Koloc) Valentine. He grew up in Ford city but spent most of his life in Monroeville, PA. He is survived by his wife Pamela Debor Valentine; his son John and wife Gina Molinero Valentine, as well as 4 granddaughters, Mia, Kayla, Kira and Nika Valentine. Jack spent quality time in the service of his country. He served honorably in the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII and the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He always enjoyed reunions with his shipmates of the Destroyer USS Compton DD705. Jack loved his life in Monroeville. It was filled with many activities. He was member of the Monroeville Municipal Planning Commission, the Police Pension Committee, and Treasurer of Monroeville Chamber of Commerce. He was also very involved with the Boy Scouts as Treasurer of the East Valley Area Boy Scout Council. He was so proud to have his son John achieve the rank of Eagle Scout during that time. He attended Penn State University on the GI Bill and graduated in 1957. He was avid Penn Stater. Jack was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, the Lions Paw Senior Society, Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Society and Alpha Kappa Psi. He was President of Parmi Nous Senior Society and Treasurer of his fraternity PiKA. Jack worked at PPG Industries and A&B Smith Company. He retired from A&B Smith as the Treasurer and Controller in 1984. Upon retirement he started his own accounting firm Jack Valentine & Co. where he retired in 2015. His namesake company is still operated in Monroeville as Jack Valentine Associates LLC. He and his wife Pam left their home in Monroeville for a patio home in Bellevue Park of Cranberry to be close to their grandchildren. Jack and his wife Pam enjoyed many cruises and seeing the world together through travel. He loved his God, His family, and his United States of America having served them all well. Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 1st from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100).
