Peacefully on May 6, 2022, Skip was called to his eternal home. He will be lovingly missed by his children J. Randy (Debra) Rovesti of North Huntingdon, Kenneth R. Rovesti of Monroeville, and Lori Dee (Joseph) Gulaskey of Export, his grandchildren Kevin Adipotti, Randy Rovesti, Kelly Arbogast, Jodee Stevens, Chelsey Rovesti, Joseph W. Gulaskey V. He also had eleven great-grandchildren. Nephews and nieces and extended family adored him. Skip was born at home on December 8, 1929, in Patton Township of Allegheny County to the late John and Marguerite (Schussler) Rovesti. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Painter) Rovesti, his parents, and sisters Marion Lambert, Gloria Kral, & Wilma Conrad. He is survived by his youngest sister, Pepper (Lynn) Hoffman. Skip married Wanda, his junior high sweetheart, in 1950 and they spent fifty-four happy years together. Skip was a hard-working family man who would do anything to help others. As a newly married man, he mentored his brother-in-law and his nephew who are both grateful to this day. He started working as an apprentice at Westinghouse Air Brake Company and drove stock car for Vee’s garage in Trafford. He loved working on cars and was the family go-to mechanic. His driving days had to end as his career took off at WABCO. He always taught his kids to work hard to achieve what you want in life sometimes working two or more jobs. He worked his way up to Plant Manager before he retired early to travel with his wife. They were blessed with many travel memories, but their favorite spot was the Bahamas. Skip always showed up at all family sporting events and activities. He was always there when needed and helped so much that he jokingly said, “I don’t know when I found time to work!” Skip will be missed by many and never forgotten by all. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to at Calvary Lutheran Church, 4725 Old William Penn Hwy, Murrysville 15668 or to a charity of your choice in his name.
