July 30, 2020
John Patrick “Jack” Halloran Jr. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, a true “Pittsburgh boy” as he would call himself, entered into the Lord’s Kingdom on Thursday, July 30th, 2020 at the age of 76. He was born on February 14th, 1944 to the late John P. Halloran Sr. and Clara (Sugden). Jack honorably served in the Navy as a Third Class Petty Officer. During his time in the Navy he also worked in the Pentagon Building. He wed Linda S. Halloran (Holmes) on September 25th, 1965. Jack is survived by his wife Linda (Holmes), son John Halloran (Valerie), daughter Michelle Olive (Victor), and his beloved grandchildren Mindy Olive (Jesse), Maria Olive (Damian), Jesse Halloran, and Erica Halloran. He is also survived by his sister Joan Carr. Jack was a lover of life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and pets (Missy, Mr. Bud, Charlie Chips, Apollo, and both Rocky’s). Jack adored his grandchildren; he was always there to support them and never missed one of their functions. He was a faithful friend, always lending an ear or a hand. Jack was an honest, hardworking, dedicated, reliable, comical and honorable man. He always put his family first. His laugh was contagious; he loved to tell jokes. Jack inspired everyone who knew him to enjoy the little treasures of life, and to always laugh. We will miss Jack’s stories and jokes the most. Because of Jack we laugh a little louder and love a little deeper. Dad, Pap pap, Jack, you will be forever missed, always loved and cherished. Friends will be received Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). The wearing of masks, social distancing and a limit of 25 people occupancy will be followed. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral chapel on Tuesday, August 4th at 10 a.m. with interment following in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick.
