John Creighton of Delmont, born on March 5, 1948, passed away suddenly of a cardiac arrest on September 9, 2021, at the age of 73. He was the son of the late Howard A. Creighton and Leona (Sinkenbring) Creighton, and brother of the late Patricia Guy (Bill) and Howard Creighton. He is survived by his sisters, Karenlee Robinson (Jay Shaffer) and Wanda Desgain (Earle); nieces and nephews, William Guy, Kenneth Guy, Kathy Guy, Mary Pat Tempert, John H. Creighton, Denise Desgain, Danielle Wilcox; also survived by numerous great- nieces and great-nephews that he cherished. He was a father figure to Angela Rimmel and Tina Miller. John graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in 1966 and went on to Youngstown University, earning a BS in Business Administration. He also served in the National Guard for five years. His career was General Manager for several malls in the Eastern United States. John was recognized by all, not only for his organizational management skills, but for his charitable efforts to serve his local communities. A “real people person”, John was known for his quick unstoppable wit, infectious smile and his compassionate spirit and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a very giving person even to the end by being an organ donor. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
