Age 88, of Monroeville, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at his home. He was born on August 10, 1925, in Latrobe, PA, to Harry and Elda (Braughler) Eamigh. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the U.S. Steel Edgar Thompson works in Braddock. Jesse was a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy Seabees 130th Battalion in the Pacific. Besides building landing strips and other important military installations, he fought along the side of the 2nd Marine division on the islands of Enwetok, Saipan and Okinawa. He also served 35 years in the Navy Seabee reserve and was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW of Latrobe. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary (Cowan) Eamigh; and two sons, John and Daniel. He will be sadly missed by his remaining children, Jessie Shearer, David (Sharon) Eamigh, Rebecca (John) Domin, Charles (Kathy) Baker, and Matthew (Missy) Eamigh. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Charles Eamigh and a sister, Masie Sintef. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and where services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Denny Pyles officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park
