Janice Elaine Stair

Janice Elaine Stair, 89, longtime resident of Monroeville, Pa passed peacefully and comforted by her devoted family on February 4, 2023. Janice was born January 24, 1934, near Belton, Missouri, the daughter of the late Edward and Faye (Salisbury) Ullery. Janice will be remembered with love by her husband of 70 years, Earl “Gene” Stair; their 3 daughters, Kathy Kellman, Kristy (Michael) Novak, and Kelly (Robert) Fletcher; their 8 grandchildren Kristopher (Andrea) Kellman, Todd Kellman, Elizabeth (Erik) Mangan, Nicole (Joshua) Kowalkowski, Michael (Maggie) Novak III, Justin (Kristen) Fletcher, Kiley (Danny) O’Neill, Jamie Fletcher; their 11 great grandchildren with two more arriving in March, Amelia, Emerie, and Ashton Kellman, Kieran and Kora Mangan, Zoey and Lexi Kowalkowski, Avery and Rylee Novak, Abigail and Mason Fletcher along with her dearest brothers in-law and sisters in-law, niece and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Loueva Ullery and her adored sister, Edith Marie Keller. Janice grew up in Peculiar Mo. and graduated with a class of 14 students. She began her banking career path as a teenager working at the Cass County Bank. Gene and Janice made the move to the Pittsburgh Area with Westinghouse in 1957 and planted their roots. Later in life Janice returned to banking with positions at Pittsburgh National Bank. During her life Janice enjoyed traveling the United States with Gene. They fulfilled their bucket list of visiting all fifty states. The greatest joy in Janice’s life was her family. Her favorite events were large family gatherings filled with good food, fun games and great conversations. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100), and where her funeral service will be conducted by Janice’s beloved nephew, Paul Keller, on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Interment following in Twin Valley Memorial Park.
