Irene (Drylie) Laurito Anderson

June 11, 2016

Of Monroeville, peacefully ascended into the Heavens to spend eternity with the Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2016, where God will hold her forever. She was the daughter of John and Olive (Randolph) Drylie; was formerly married to Anthony “Tony” Laurito, and survived by their children: Nicholas “Nick” Laurito, Jean Egan, Olive Conn (Mike) and their late son, Anthony R. Laurito. Later in life she was united in matrimony to Ray Anderson and shared a family with him to include Erik Anderson (Mary Kay) and Karen Ferguson. She was Grammy to Nicholas Laurito Jr., Anita Laurito, Erica Egan, and Anthony Egan; cherished great-grandmother to Sophia and A.J. Laurito and their mother Susan Laurito; sister of Jean Reed (Bob) and Jeff Drylie (Sylvia). She is survived by nephews and nieces all who loved her. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Irene loved her home, family, friends and church. She lived a full and diverse life. She was always the first to offer a helping hand or join us on our next adventure. She would not want us to cry because it’s over, but to smile because it happened. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4503 Old William Penn Hwy, Monroeville. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she was a member and devoted volunteer for 61 years.
