Denise (Sikora/Henderson) Ross Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Denise M. (Sikora/Henderson) Ross, age 68, of Monroeville, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021. Denise was born in Munhall, PA. on November 21, 1952, to the late Kenneth and Marcella Sikora. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Amanda. She graduated from Munhall High School in 1971. She graduated from Indiana University of PA in 1974 with her undergraduate degree and returned to IUP to obtain her Masters degree. She spent 33 years as a Family and Consumer Science teacher with the Gateway School District and retired in 2008. She also was a track and cheerleading coach. She married the love of her life, Jerry in 2002. Denise enjoyed traveling to beaches spending time in the garden with her flowers, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog. Denise was loved by everyone who knew her and touched the lives of countless individuals. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Ross; her daughter Ashley Henderson, and stepchildren, Samuel Padgett, Etienne Bookshar (Barry) and Amanda Cale (Donald); grandchildren, Brayden, Austin and Hunter; and her sister Darlene Sikora Kimmel. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish at St. Bernadette Church, 245 Azalea Drive, Monroeville. Interment following in Cross Roads Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
