Deborah Margaret Marafioti, 69, of Monroeville, passed away on March 7, 2017. Born September 3, 1947 in Pittsburgh, to parents Tom and Grace (Gables) Shannon. Debbie went to Holy Ghost High School and graduated in 1965. She later returned to school, earning an Associates Degree in Phlebotomy in 1993. She worked as a phlebotomist and manager of a plasma center for many years. Debbie enjoyed reading, attending Pirates games, especially home openers, with her son, Louis and playing Words With Friends with her daughter, Melanie. Debbie is survived by her son, Louis S. Marafioti of Monroeville, daughter, Melanie A. Marafioti and son-in- law, Scott M. Stanek of Columbus, Ohio, two sisters Cathy (Dean) Tomko of West Mifflin and Thomasine (Mickey) Giamp of Pittsburgh, four nieces and their children. At Debbie's request, there will not be a wake or a memorial service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation is made in Debbie's honor to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
