Calvin "Bud" Banks

Calvin “Bud” Banks, 92 passed away peacefully on August 29, 2020 at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville, PA. Bud was born in Banks Oregon the only child of Alice and Harold Banks. After High School, he entered the Navy where he trained as a machinist mate serving through 1953. He took advantage of the GI Bill and attended Oregon State University pursuing an education in engineering. Bud had a long career as a Mechanical Engineer for Westinghouse. Work brought him to PA where he met Gertrude (Meager), married and raised a family. He was a fan of most sports and of course the Pittsburgh Steelers. For many years he volunteered for the Plum Food Pantry where he had a strong sense of purpose and made many friends. He is survived by his second wife Helen (Mazzulli) and her three children; his three children Larry, Glenn and Karen Peinkofer; his grandchildren Jacob Banks, Alec Peinkofer, and Nicole Duhamel. Burial arrangements are being made for Plum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Plum Food Pantry or one of your choosing. Arrangements entrusted to the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE.
