Robert "Bob" Zollner

Robert "Bob" Zollner, a man of quiet strength and restless hands, passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd 2026. Bob was the quintessential "family man," whose life was defined not by what he said, but by what he did for the people he loved. At the center of Bob’s world was his beloved wife, Dianne Zollner. Together, they shared 51 years of marriage, building a life rooted in devotion, partnership, and a shared love for their family. Their half-century together was the foundation for everything Bob worked for, and his dedication to Dianne was the greatest example of the "do anything for anyone" spirit he was known for. Bob was a natural "busy body" who never quite mastered the art of sitting still. He truly loved tinkering, fixing, or improving something. He was the man who could—and would—do anything for anyone, usually before they even thought to ask. While his family often had to remind him to finally take a break, his version of relaxation was just as simple as his life: he loved watching the History Channel, quietly absorbing the stories of the past while planning his next project. His greatest joy was found on the water. For Bob, there was no better day than one spent on his Crownline cruising the Allegheny River. The river was the heart of his family life, a place where he could trade his tools for a steering wheel and enjoy the company of those he loved most. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Dianne (Callahan) Zollner; his children, Michelle Pavlik (Dylan), Brent Zollner (Nicole), and Marissa Stephans (Tyler); and his sister, Janet Harnden (Doug). He was the proudest grandfather to his eight grandchildren: Parker and Sawyer Pavlik; Channing, Vienna, Lorenzo, and Croix Zollner; and Ellie and Owen Stephans. He is also survived and deeply loved by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws who were a vital part of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Dolores Zollner, and his three brothers, Jim Zollner (Seane), Mark Zollner, and Thom Zollner; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Jane Callahan. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, a wealth of "fixed" things, and a family that will forever miss his selfless heart and his steady, quiet guidance. We take comfort in knowing he is finally taking a well-deserved break—listening to his favorite oldies and sharing a Yuengling with his buddy, Dan Deemer. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). Mass of Christian burial will be held at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish at St. Bernadette Church on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Plum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Penn State Thon Ohana Organization and Alzheimer's Cure Organization.
