Millie (Licina) Galagaza

Millie (Licina) Galagaza passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Millie was born on April 18, 1925 in Trafford to the late Raymond and Ljuba Licina. She was united in marriage to John Galagaza on June 24, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1962 leaving her to raise her four young daughters. Millie remained a devoted and loving wife and mother until the day she passed away. For many years Millie owned and operated a hair salon business and later worked for the Gateway School District. Millie loved God and lived a faithful life by example every day, showing kindness, compassion and generosity. She was also true to her Orthodox Christian faith and community, and gave endlessly of herself to her church St. Archangel Michael. She was proud of her Serbian Orthodox heritage and instilled that love and commitment in her children. Mourning her loss are her four daughters and their spouses, Georgiana (her caregiver and companion) and Rick Woodhall, Johnna and Ted Czekaj, Mariann Grills and Violet (Ljube) and Milo Prisuta. She will be greatly missed by her 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, Ian and Shelley Prisuta (Loren & Sarah), Nadia and Gabe Engel, Aaron and Brittany Prisuta (Tessa), Stefani and Joe DiLucente (Scarlett), MacKenzie Grills, Millicent and Taylor Kasabian (Thaddius, Genevieve and Della), Seth and Bonny Grills (Quincy and Mila). Millie will also be missed by her nieces, Denise Nardozi, Darleen Tubbs, Melissa Szumetz and Melanie Kotfus and their families. Along with her husband and parents in repose, Millie joins her siblings and their spouses, Stella Spleth and her husband Will and Rody Licina and his wife Mary, and special niece, Pamela Licina. May her memory be eternal in the minds and hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her visitation and funeral service will be private for the family.
