Jeanne Cook

Jeanne Doris (Dinneen) Cook passed away Monday, July 7, 2025. Jeanne lived a full and adventurous life that included horseback riding through the woods of Butler and Western Florida, snowmobiling on the trails of Somerset, boating on the waters of Lake Stoneycreek and flying small planes through the skies piloted by her husband, Bill. Jeanne raised her family in Plum before relocating to a horse farm in Butler to pursue their love of horses. She was certified in occupational therapy and worked in various facilities throughout Western PA. After unexpectedly losing their son in 1999, Jeanne and Bill moved their farm to Florida to enjoy retirement. Jeanne and Bill were the life of the party wherever they went. Their farm in Butler, their homes in Florida and their cabin in Somerset always had an open door to friends and family. Always inviting, always planning the next party (bring your deck of cards!), always ready for the next adventure, they loved to host guests and gave everything with their hearts. Jeanne loved Rod Stewart, animals big and small including her dogs Hershey Kiss and Annie. After a long battle that she fought with all she had, Jeanne will finally be at rest and find peace next to her son Billy. She is survived by her husband William J. Cook, foster son Roger Gardner, sisters Nancy Egnitz Andres and Patricia Toth, her brother William Dinneen, nephews Geoffrey Egnitz, Robert (Jodi Lynn) Cook, the late Richard Cook, Charles (Jodi) Cook, Michael Cook, James (Kathy) Toth, and nieces Carol (Charles) Baer and Carol (Richard) Noel. Special mention to cousins Patricia (JC) Martin, Judy and Dennis Reddinger, her best friend Carol Gerhard and Wayne (Skippy) Brennan who all gave so much of themselves to help Jeanne and Bill when they truly needed them. Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100); where a service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
